2 Elmhurst Incidents With Punches Thrown: Police

In one case, a dispute was over a truck blocking an apartment complex's exit, report says.

ELMHURST, IL – In two Elmhurst cases over the weekend, punches were thrown, police said. Here is information from the reports:

  • Police responded to a fight in progress about 8:30 a.m. Friday at an apartment complex at 170 E. Lake St. A man said an unoccupied delivery truck was blocking the complex’s only exit, so the man entered the driver’s seat of the truck to try to move it out of the way. The truck driver returned and punched the man. Neither person wanted to sign a criminal complaint.
  • A person said that while he was walking with his friend about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of North West Avenue, he was battered by a group of teenagers. One of the teens punched him in the face. An investigation is pending.
