ELMHURST, IL – Two Elmhurst men who took street signs in town Monday claimed they had the permission of the city’s head of maintenance, police said.

Evan E. Weiger, 22, and Luke Mazzocco, 22, of Elmhurst, were charged with theft. They were released.
