2 Elmhurst Men Charged With Domestic Battery: Cops

In another case, a DUI suspect was found to have a concealed gun, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of domestic battery and DUI, among other offenses. Here is information from the arrest log:

Domestic battery

  • A 45-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 600 block of North Indiana Street was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at his house on two domestic battery counts. Police said the man grabbed a woman. The man did not cooperate with officers. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • A 38-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 100 block of East Hale Street was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of North Kenilworth Avenue on a domestic battery charge. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • A 62-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Monday at Grand Avenue and Church Street on charges of DUI, possession of a concealed firearm under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, driving an uninsured vehicle, improper lane use and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Police said the man struck a sign and left. He was taken to the police station and released.

DUI

  • A 31-year-old Streamwood man was arrested about 7 p.m. Monday at Madison Avenue and York Street on charges of DUI, possession of open alcohol, driving an uninsured car, disobeying a stop sign and failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was taken to the police station and released.

  • A 39-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of West North Avenue on a Cook County warrant. Police were called to Amigas Restaurant, 671 W. North Ave., where the man said someone stole his girlfriend's belongings in his car. Police then found the man had an arrest warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
