2 Elmhurst Residents Accused Of Domestic Battery

In one case, a man threw a cardboard box at another person, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of domestic battery, retail theft and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:

Domestic battery

  • A 33-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 300 block of East Ridge Avenue was arrested shortly after midnight Sunday on two domestic battery counts. Police said the woman struck a man during an argument. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • A 48-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 400 block of North Emery Lane was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Sunday at his house on a domestic battery charge. Police said the man threw a cardboard box at a person. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • A 66-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 500 block of Hill Street was cited about 11 a.m. Friday on charges of permitting an animal to habitually jump and threaten those in a public way and not getting the animal a rabies vaccination. A woman told officers that the man's dog reached through a gap in the fence and bit her dog on the nose, causing an injury, police said. She was walking her dog. DuPage County Animal Services was notified.

Retail theft

  • Mirsulton Yusopov, 27, of Mount Prospect, was arrested Thursday on burglary and retail theft charges. A 23-year-old Mount Prospect man was arrested on a retail theft charge. They were arrested in connection with an incident about 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. Yusopov was taken to the DuPage County Jail, while the 23-year-old was released.
  • Eric T. Nilsen, 45, of Chicago, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Friday on charges of burglary, retail theft, driving a car with a suspended registration and driving an uninsured car. He was also wanted on a Waukesha County, Wisconsin, warrant. Police said he stole boxes of merchandise at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUI

  • A 37-year-old Wood Dale man was arrested about 2 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of West Grand Avenue on charges of DUI, driving with no valid driver's license and transportation of open alcohol by a driver. He was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 67-year-old Chicago woman was arrested about 3 p.m. Saturday at York and Hale streets on charges of DUI (drugs), disobeying a stop sign, improper lighting and possession of open alcohol. She was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 25-year-old Joliet man was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday at Route 83 and St. Charles Road on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, possession of alcohol by a driver, improper use of registration and driving an uninsured car. He was taken to the police station and then released.
