2 Elmhurst Residents Accused Of DUI: Cops

One of them was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Two Elmhurst residents were arrested on DUI charges, among other offenses, police said. Here is information from the reports:

  • Emily Lech, 40, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 9 p.m. Wednesday at North Avenue and Willow Road on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and speeding. She was released on bond.
  • Michael J. Moroney, 60, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of North York Street on charges of DUI (drugs), failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, improper lane usage and driving an uninsured car. He was also wanted on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant. In 2021, Moroney was arrested on a charge of DUI (drugs) after he was found passed out in the drive-thru lane at McDonald's, 920 N. York St., police said. He was released on bond.
