3 Battery Incidents In Elmhurst: Cops
An Elmhurst man is charged with domestic battery.
ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst police responded to three battery incidents over the weekend. Here is information from the reports:
- Daniel Lamczyk, 39, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of North Glenview on two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, Lamczyk became physical after an argument with a woman.
- Jaxson Taylor, 18, of Chicago, was arrested shortly after noon Sunday at Elmhurst University, 190 Prospect Ave., on a charge of battery. He was released on bond. A person reported being struck in the head numerous times by Taylor.
- A youth caused problems about 7:30 p.m. Friday at Emerson Elementary School, 400 N. West Ave. During the school's Fall Fest outside, the youth slapped one person's phone out of his hand, which caused the screen to shatter. Another person told police the same youth punched him in the stomach, but the person did not wish to press charges. The youth was cited on a charge of damage to property and released to his parent.
