3 Domestic Disturbances In Elmhurst: Cops
An Elmhurst man is accused of domestic battery after scratching another person, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police responded to three domestic disturbances in the last few days. Here is information from the reports:
- Bruce Heimer, 58, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of East Columbia on a charge of domestic battery. According to a police report, Heimer scratched another person, causing droplets of blood. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- A resident in the 200 block of East First Street told police that her longtime boyfriend came home and acted as if he were going to splash water on her but didn't. She then splashed water on him. The suspect did not want to make any statements. No arrests were made. The incident happened about 2:30 p.m. Friday.
- Police responded to a domestic disturbance shortly after midnight Sunday in the 300 block of North Larch Avenue. Each person claimed to be the victim of battery. Because of conflicting statements and a lack of physical evidence, no arrests were made.
