3 Elmhurst Battery Incidents: Police

An Elmhurst man is arrested on a battery charge, police said. He was released.

ELMHURST, IL — In recent days, Elmhurst police answered three calls about disturbances. Here is information from the reports:

  • Domingo Vanegas, 53, of Elmhurst, was arrested at 11 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of East Grand Avenue on a charge of battery. He was released on bond. According to a police report, a man told officers that Vanegas battered him.
  • A battery took place about 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the strip mall at 624 N. York St. Two people argued and pushed each other. One of the people called police, but did not want to sign a complaint.
  • Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 5 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue. A woman said her ex-boyfriend slapped her during an argument. The ex-boyfriend left before officers arrived. An investigation is pending.
