3 Elmhurst Men Accused Of Domestic Battery: Cops

One of the men pushed a woman twice and threatened to burn the house down, police said. Their disagreement was said to be over a closet.

ELMHURST, IL – Three Elmhurst men were arrested on domestic battery charges over the weekend. Here is information from the police reports:

  • Andrew G. Larson, 26, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 3 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Holly Avenue on two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, a woman and Larson had a disagreement over the use of a closet. She told police Larson pushed her twice, threatened to hurt family members and threatened to burn the house down. She said she was injured as a result of being pushed.
  • Joseph M. Cascella, 26, of Elmhurst, was arrested Sunday in the 600 block of Crockett on two counts of domestic battery and one count of interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, a woman said Cascella struck her as she attempted to separate him from another man. Cascella then pulled a handful of hair out of the woman's head as he tried to prevent her from calling 911. He has been arrested a number of times in Elmhurst.
  • Joel M. Villegas, 50, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 5 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Van Auken Street on two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. A witness told police that after hearing a call for help, she saw Villegas choking a person.
