4 Unlocked Cars Targeted And 1 Stolen: Elmhurst Cops
In case of stolen car, the key fob was in the center console.
ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst police received reports of the burglaries of four unlocked cars since Tuesday. Another was stolen. Here is the information from the police:
- A car in the 600 block of South Fairview was stolen between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wednesday. The key fob was in the center console.
- Residents in the 100 block of South Fairfield Road reported the burglaries of two unlocked cars parked in their driveways overnight Tuesday. Nothing was taken.
- An unlocked car parked in a driveway in the 300 block of West Alexander was burglarized overnight Tuesday. Money was stolen.
- A car in the 200 block of Eggleston was burglarized about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. A surveillance camera showed a suspect wearing a light colored sweatshirt entering the car. The suspect stole the resident's son's wallet. The suspect tried to use the debit card online, but the card was declined.
