6 DUI Arrests In Elmhurst: Police
Two of the arrests involved police responding to accidents, reports say.
ELMHURST, IL — Elmhurst police arrested six people on DUI charges in the last few days. Here is information from the reports:
- Alex Mejia-Garcia, 19, of Addison, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Friday at West Lake and North Route 83 on charges of DUI, consumption of alcohol by a minor, improper lane usage, depositing injurious material on the highway and possession of tobacco by a person under the age of 21. He was released on bond.
- Vesmo Hanks, 22, of Villa Park, was arrested shortly before 5 a.m. Friday at Route 83 and West North on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana by a driver and speeding. He was released on bond. According to a police report, he was found to be under the influence of marijuana.
- Miroslaw Kowkalkowki, 41, of Burbank, was arrested shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday at North County Line and East Grand on charges of DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage. He was released on bond.
- Stephen Lacy, 25, of Clarendon Hills, was arrested at 3:30 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of East Church on charges of DUI, no valid driver's license, possession of marijuana by a driver, injuring property and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. He was arrested after police responded to an accident. He was released on bond.
- Mariana Gonzalez, 36, of Chicago, was arrested about 1 a.m. Sunday at Clinton and North on charges of DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage and improper lighting. She was released on bond.
- A juvenile suspect was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of West Grand Avenue on charges of DUI and leaving the roadway. The juvenile, who had been involved in an accident, was released on bond.
