9 Minors Busted At Elmhurst Bar: Police

Some of the suspects were students at Elmhurst University.

ELMHURST, IL – Nine underage customers at Fitz's Pub, 172 N. Addison Ave., were charged late Thursday night, Elmhurst police said.

One of the suspects, a 19-year-old Franklin Park man, ran away and was charged with battery, resisting an officer and consumption of alcohol by a minor, police said.

The man and some of the other suspects are Elmhurst University students.

The other suspects were a 19-year-old woman of Springfield, a 20-year-old girl of Countryside, a 20-year-old man of Addison, a 20-year-old man of Elmhurst, an 18-year-old woman of Willowbrook, a 19-year-old woman of Clarendon Hills, a 20-year-old of Bloomingdale man and a 20-year-old woman of Sugar Grove.

All eight were charged with false use of an identification. Some were also charged with the consumption of liquor by a minor or being a minor on a licensed premise serving alcohol.

All nine suspects were released on bond.

Police said they conducted the bar check shortly before midnight.
