Adopt-A-Park Program Offers Community Members a Chance to Give Back & Go Green

Adopt-A-Park Program Offers Community Members a Chance to Give Back & Go Green

ELMHURST, Ill – Want to help give back to the parks that give so much to our community?  Adopt a park!  Currently, Conrad Fischer Park, Kiwanis Park, Plunkett Park, and York Commons are still available for adoption – but act quickly!  The Elmhurst Park District’s Adopt-A-Park program is designed to promote civic pride and offer individuals a chance to work hands-on keeping their favorite park clean.  Each year, the adoption commitment begins in April and concludes in December.  Adopt-A-Park is open to individuals, youth groups, neighborhood associations, civic groups, religious organizations, service organizations, schools, teams, businesses and other organizations.

Groups meet for monthly clean-up sessions to ensure their park remains in pristine condition.  It’s a great outlet for your group to spend quality time together in a unique and rewarding way.  Additionally, your organization’s name will be placed on a sign in your park, providing recognition for your hard work and demonstrating your commitment to the Elmhurst community.  For more information and to request an Adopt-A-Park application, please call (630) 993-8925 or email volunteer@epd.org.
