Aggravated Battery At Elmhurst Store: Cops
The suspect was also accused of burglary and retail theft, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of aggravated battery, disorderly conduct, trespassing, fleeing and eluding an officer and DUI. Here is information from the latest arrest log:
Aggravated battery
- Shannon D. Harper, 24, of Streamwood, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Saturday on charges of aggravated battery, resisting a police officer, burglary, retail theft and marijuana possession. In the same incident at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, Alfarae Alexander, 50, of Streamwood, was charged with burglary. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Disorderly conduct

- A 41-year-old suspect from Maywood was arrested about noon Friday at Extended Stay America hotel, 550 W. Grand Ave., on a charge of disorderly conduct. The person refused to leave the premises.
Trespassing
- A 21-year-old from Glen Ellyn and a 22-year-old woman from Lombard were arrested about 1 p.m. Sunday at the city parking garage at 149 Addison Ave. on charges of trespassing. They were on the top level of the parking deck, where the public is not allowed.

- A 24-year-old man from Bensenville was arrested about 3 a.m. Friday at Lake and York streets on charges of fleeing and eluding an officer, driving an uninsured car, speeding, improper lane usage, failure to signal, using a modified exhaust system and having tinted windows. He was released.
DUIs
- A 31-year-old man from Chicago was arrested about 3 a.m. Friday at North Avenue and Interstate 290 on charges of DUI, no valid driver's license, driving an uninsured car, improper lane usage and prohibited lighting. He was driving with his hazard lights flashing. He was released.
- A 27-year-old man from Franklin Park was arrested about 2 a.m. Sunday at York Street and Grand Avenue on charges of DUI, possession of open alcohol and driving without a license plate light. He was released.
- A 20-year-old man from Glendale Heights was arrested about 2 a.m. Saturday at Route 83 and North Avenue on charges of having a blood-alcohol concentration as a minor driver, consumption of alcohol by a minor, driving an uninsured car and improper lane usage. He was released.
Fraudulent identification
- A 20-year-old man from Chicago was arrested shortly before midnight Friday at York and Third streets on charges of attempting to possess a fraudulent identification, having tinted windows, having no valid driver's license and driving with no insurance. He was released.
