• Watchdog Sues Over DuPage Agency's Secret Reasoning In Ethics Case (patch.com) — Elmhurst readers may note that this lawsuit over the DuPage County Forest Preserve's secret ethics rulings echoes concerns raised when an Elmhurst alderman was cited for similar pin-wearing issues. Watchdog Edgar Pal is asking a judge to force the agency's ethics commission to publicly explain why it cleared two commissioners, arguing state open-meetings law requires written reasoning.
   

• Elmhurst Man With 7 Warrants Charged With Trespassing (patch.com) — Elmhurst police recently arrested a 39-year-old Elmhurst resident on a trespassing charge at The Club Shot & Beer on North Addison, noting he had seven active DuPage County warrants. The same man has faced multiple recent local charges, including assault outside Elmhurst Family Dental and prior trespassing, as well as earlier accusations involving frightening children and damaging a phone on Halloween 2025.
