Berens Park West Playground Renovation Featured in Landscape Architect Magazine
ELMHURST, Ill. – Berens Park West Playground was selected from a group of submissions to be featured in the March 2013 issue of the Landscape Architect & Specifier News. The Berens Park West Playground 2012 redesign, spearheaded by Elmhurst Park District Landscape Architect & Park Planner Jerry Pask and Assistant Park Planner Colleen McCarty, features up-to-date technology and play features, ensuring compliance with new playground safety standards and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility guidelines. Some of the playground’s exciting new features include an elevated walkway, Weevos structure, and a dragonfly seesaw.
