Elmhurst Pet Store Reports Animal Neglect: Police

ELMHURST, IL — An Elmhurst pet grooming store called local police last week to report that a dog brought in by a customer appeared to be suffering from neglect, the store told Patch Wednesday.

The officer notified Cook County Animal Control, which will take over the investigation, the report said. The customer lives in Cook County, according to Paws Pet Grooming, 299 N. York St.

Elmhurst Patch has filed a public records request for the police report.
