Antisemitic Flyer 'Worst Of Us': Elmhurst Official
An alderman encouraged residents to check their surveillance footage.

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst alderman this week urged residents in areas where an antisemitic flyer was distributed over the weekend to check their security cameras' footage.
At a City Council meeting, Ward 6 Alderman Guido Nardini praised Police Chief Michael McLean for issuing a news release so quickly about the flyer.
He said the flyers were distributed in wards 1, 5 and 6, which are on Elmhurst's south side, as well as in La Grange Park.

"I mentioned La Grange Park because it's relieving to know that it's not Elmhurst-specific," Nardini said. "I'm hopeful that the perpetrator is not local. (The flyers) were placed in plastic bags weighted down with pebbles so that they could be thrown out of car windows for easy dissemination."
He said if residents check their footage, the police may get an image of the person, the make and model of the car, or the license plate number.

He also said the "best end of the story" is for McLean to meet "some local bigot and discuss littering ordinances in the city of Elmhurst."
"This is the worst of us," Nardini said.
