Armed Man In Elmhurst Asks Woman To Go With Him: Cops

The man showed up next to the woman in a parking lot, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – A man with a pistol made a request of a woman last week in the parking lot at an Elmhurst hotel, police said.

About 8 a.m. Friday, the man pulled up next to the woman in a black pickup truck at SpringHill Suites By Marriott, 410 W. Lake St., police said.

The man asked the woman whether she wanted to go with him, police said. The woman told officers she saw a pistol laying on the truck's passenger seat.

When another vehicle came up behind the man, he drove away onto Lake Street, police said.

The man was described as white, 6 feet tall, having a medium build, having short blond hair on the sides and balding on the top, having a short-trimmed beard, and wearing blue jeans and a black polo-style shirt.

The incident was listed as disorderly conduct. It remains under investigation, police said.
