Armed Man In Elmhurst Business Dispute: Cops

The man was taken to jail and given a firearm restraining order, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – An Addison man in a dispute with an Elmhurst business went to the business while in possession of a gun, police said.

Joseph Lerario, 54, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and harassment by telephone. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

On Tuesday morning, Lerario made a threatening phone call to Elmhurst Party Rental, 650 W. Grand Ave., about a business dispute, police said. He then went to the business with a gun to continue the argument, authorities said.

The next day, Lerario was served with a firearm restraining order, police said.
