Ax-Wielding Elmhurst Man Arrested Near His House: Cops

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst man was arrested near his house late Friday night after he threatened a driver with an ax, local police said.

David Rasziszewski, 28, who lives in the 600 block of North Indiana Street, was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault. He was released on bond.

According to police, a driver said he was headed south on Indiana when Rasziszewski walked into traffic carrying an ax over his shoulder. The driver said Rasziszewski then signaled for the driver to turn around, police said. The driver told police he felt threatened and called 911.

The incident took place next to Rasziszewski's home, police said.
