Backups On I-290 After Trailer Falls On Side

ADDISON, IL - Morning rush hour traffic remains slow on the inbound I-290 Eisenhower Expressway Friday morning after a tractor trailer was flipped on its side around 7 a.m., according to a WGN-TV Traffic report.

All lanes were blocked near the IL-83 exit at first, then one lane of traffic was "squeezing by," a WGN Traffic post indicated after 7 a.m. The latest update, as of 7:37 a.m., is that the trailer has been moved to the side of the road and that only one lane is blocked.

Backups remain, however, as far west as the I-355 merger.
