Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested In Elmhurst: Cops
A resident learned that an acquaintance may have committed the crime in Virginia, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – A man who is suspected of robbing a bank in Virginia was arrested Tuesday outside an Elmhurst hotel, police said.
About 11 a.m. Tuesday, a resident showed up at the police station to tell officers that an acquaintance traveled by bus to the Chicago area a day earlier, according to a police news release.
The man indicated he needed a place to stay, so the resident found a hotel on Route 83 in Elmhurst. Later, the resident was informed the man may have committed a bank robbery in Yorktown, Virginia, police said.

The man was identified as Justin M. Craver, 45, of Newport News, Virginia. Elmhurst police confirmed with the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office that Craver was the subject of an arrest warrant in Virginia, police said.
Elmhurst detectives began surveillance of the hotel. About 12:30 p.m., Craver was seen leaving the hotel and walking south on nearby North Avenue. He was then arrested without any problems, police said.

With a search warrant, officers found two knives and a machete in Craver's hotel room, according to the news release.
He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
