Bar Fight, Harassment: Elmhurst Cops

A bar fight involved two people Friday night at a downtown Elmhurst bar, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a bar fight, harassment, a domestic disturbance, theft of services, custody violations, check fraud and theft. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Bar fight

  • Two people got into a fight shortly before midnight Friday at The Club Shot & Beer, 113 N. Addison Ave. Neither person wanted to press charges, so none were filed.

Harassment

  • A resident in the 100 block of East Madison Street told police Thursday that a woman recently found out she was having an affair with the woman's husband. Afterward, the woman repeatedly called and texted the resident. An officer called the woman and told her to not contact the resident again.

Domestic disturbance

  • Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 4:30 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of North Michigan Street. Police found no indication of injuries, and both parties agreed to separate for the evening.

Theft of services

  • Cyndi Nails, 539 N. York St., did not receive a payment about 1 p.m. Thursday after completing a manicure for a customer. An investigation is pending.

Custody violations

  • A resident on Crown Road told police Thursday that a suspect violated their child's parental custody agreement. The resident wanted the incident documented for court purposes. Police said no violation was found to have occurred.
  • A resident in the 200 block of East Gladys Avenue told police Friday that a man violated a parenting agreement in which he was not allowed on her property. She wanted to have him warned. He was issued a no-trespass notice.

Check fraud

  • A man told police Thursday that multiple checks had been cashed from his mother's bank account by someone. She lives in the 1100 block of South Euclid Avenue. An investigation is pending.

Theft

  • A resident in the 200 block of East May Street told police Friday that someone stole two gold rings from her jewelry box in her bedroom. She said she did not know when the rings went missing, but said cleaning staff had come into her home within the last few months. An investigation is pending.

Sexual assault

  • About 2:30 p.m. Saturday, an officer responded to Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, for a patient reporting a sexual assault. A sex assault kit was provided to the person's nurse. An investigation is pending.
