Bar Harassment, Burglaries: Elmhurst Cops
A person refuses to leave a local bar after harassing staff, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving harassment, burglaries, a domestic disturbance, retail theft, a scam, fraud and a person on the ground. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Harassment
- A person was harassing staff shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday at Fitz's Pub, 172 N. Addison Ave. The person, who refused to leave, was served with a no-trespass notice.
Burglaries

- A passenger side window of a car was broken about 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Elmhurst Art Museum, 125 S. Prospect Ave. Money was stolen. An investigation is pending.
- A truck driver told police Friday that a Sony PlayStation 5 and a Meta Quest 2 headset were stolen from his truck after he dropped it off for repairs Friday at Super Ego Logistics, 677 N. Larch Ave.
Domestic disturbance
- A domestic disturbance occurred about 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of South Oakland Grove. Two people shoved each other. Police could see no signs of injury. No complaints were signed. A suspect gathered her belongings and left the house.
Retail theft

- A woman stole items about 6 p.m. Thursday at Mariano's grocery store, 678 N. York St. The woman was described as white, 30 to 40 years old and having brown hair. An investigation is pending.
Scam
- A resident in the 300 block of West Winthrop Avenue told police Thursday that a stranger was able to gain access to her computer while posing as a service provider representative. The resident recognized the person's activity as fraudulent and stopped it. She suffered no monetary loss.
Fugitive driver
- About 8:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Charles and Argyle, officers saw a brown Toyota Corolla that was reported stolen. They tried to stop the car, but the driver sped away. Villa Park police then arrested the driver after a chase.
Civil dispute
- A driver connected to a business at 677 N. Industrial Drive told police Friday that he had not received payment and items of his that were still in his truck that was repossessed in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Police considered the matter a civil dispute.
Fraud
- Tilden Roofing Co., 252 W. Lake St., told police Friday that it completed roofing work and received a fraudulent check. An investigation is pending.
Person on ground
- A person was found on the pavement about 10 p.m. Friday near Doti Liquors, 104 E. Fullerton Ave. The person was taken to Elmhurst Hospital.
Theft
- A tenant moved out of a basement apartment and removed items that belonged to the landlord between June 10 and June 24 in the 400 block of South Hill. An investigation is pending.
