Battery, Parking Dispute: Elmhurst Cops
Someone grabbed another person and moved him out of the way at an Elmhurst business, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a battery, a dispute, road rage, soliciting without a permit, felony retail theft, DUI, a disturbance, retail theft and an overdose. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Battery
- A man told police that someone grabbed both of his arms and forcefully moved him out of the way about 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road. The suspect denied grabbing the man. Because of conflicting statements and no physical evidence, no arrests were made.
Dispute

- Police were called about a dispute over a parking spot about 4 a.m. Saturday at Super Ego Holding, 677 N. Larch Ave. The suspect left before officers arrived. An officer tried to contact the suspect, but was unsuccessful.
Road rage
- A 36-year-old man who lives in the 900 block of North River Glen in Elmhurst was arrested about 1 p.m. Friday at Commonwealth Lane and Butterfield Road on a DuPage County warrant. It occurred after a road rage incident. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

- A 33-year-old Dolton man and a 33-year-old Chicago Heights man were cited about 4 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of North Pine Street on charges of soliciting without a license. They were released. Police said the pair stated they were working for Young Entrepreneurs and trying to sell coats, shoes and books.
Felony retail theft
- Yorge Yosney Taimuza-Romero, 25, and Raynner Blanco, 26, both of Chicago, were arrested about 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on a charge of felony retail theft. A 28-year-old Chicago man was arrested in the same incident on a charge of misdemeanor retail theft. All three were released.
Retail theft
- A woman stole various bottles of alcohol about 9 p.m. Friday at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St. An investigation is pending.
- A person stole various tobacco items about 1 a.m. Saturday at 7-Eleven, 155 E. First St. The person left in a black Chevrolet Trailblazer, heading west on First Street. An investigation is pending.
DUI
- A 54-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Saturday at Grand Avenue and Lake Street on charges of DUI, improper turn and driving with no insurance. He was released.
Disturbance
- A woman and a man got into an argument about 11:30 a.m. Friday at the strip mall at 416 N. York St. The woman said the dispute was between her and her ex-boyfriend. Officers found no indication of injuries. The two agreed to separate.
Food stamp fraud
- A resident in the 900 block of South Hillcrest Avenue told police Friday that someone made two fraudulent transactions on his food stamp account. The resident's account was canceled, and he was issued a new account.
Overdose
- Police responded to a possible overdose about 11 p.m. Friday. The victim was said to have consumed Delta 8 THC gummies. Paramedics treated the person.
