Bensenville Trio Accused Of Felony Retail Theft

In other action, Elmhurst police made three DUI arrests in the last few days.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police released their latest arrest log Monday. Here is information from the reports:

Retail theft

  • Kevin Mendez Martinez, 20; Irma Martinez, 40; and Silvia Martinez, 48, all of Bensenville, were arrested about 7 p.m. Saturday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on charges of felony retail theft. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • A 28-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 2:30 p.m. Friday at Jewel, 944 S. York St., on a charge of retail theft. He was found to have a bottle of liquor. He was wanted by Oak Brook police on a retail theft charge. He was released to Oak Brook police.

  • Aaron Redd, 24, of Justice, was arrested shortly before midnight Friday at Route 83 and North Avenue on charges of felony aggravated DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, driving an uninsured car, disobeying a traffic light and speeding. He was taken to the DuPage County jail.
  • A 34-year-old Lemont man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Road and Mitchell Avenue on charges of DUI, no valid driver's license, driving an uninsured car, illegal transportation of alcohol and stopping in the roadway.
  • A 74-year-old Des Plaines woman was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of South Route 83 on a charge of DUI. She was released.
