Berens Park Fields Set To Reopen
The reopening will allow summer camps and team programs to again make use of the fields.

ELMHURST, IL — The Berens Park Synthetic Turf Project is completed and the fields will reopen the week of July 9, according to the park district website. The reopening will allow summer camps and team programs to again make use of the fields.
The park district said that 10 years of use caused replacement to be necessary at the fields. The fields are used by both the park district and affiliate athletic groups.
The turf selection, Revolution 360, provides a safe and resilient playing surface, according to the park district. It is the preferred turf type for sports like soccer that rely on a true roll and speed of the ball on the surfacing. The system is also extremely functional for the other sports that occur at Berens Park.
