Big Drop In Elmhurst D-205 Virus Caseload: Report

ELMHURST, IL – The number of coronavirus cases among students in Elmhurst School District 205 dropped in half last week, according to the latest report.

As of last Friday, the district reported 57 cases among students, or about half a percent of the district's more than 8,300 students. That's down from the previous week's 113.

The district's biggest school, York High, reported 12 coronavirus cases as of Friday. It was exceeded only by Bryan Middle School, with 14 cases.

Among district employees, 19 had the coronavirus as of Friday, down from 23 the week before.

Since the beginning of the school year, the district has recorded 2,062 coronavirus cases among students and staff.

The last day of school is Friday.
