ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst School District 205 saw major increases in standardized test scores last school year, the district announced Wednesday.

Officials noted the increases, but said the district still has room for improvement.
"We saw in this report tremendous, positive, upward movement in proficiency and areas of growth," Superintendent Keisha Campbell told the school board Wednesday. "I just want to make sure we know that this just doesn't happen by osmosis. That happens because there's a level of intentionality. There's a level of reflection."
The state is expected to release school districts' test scores and other statistics next week. But districts get an early look.
