Bleeding Elmhurst Man Flags Down Cop: Report
A woman was charged with two counts of domestic battery, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of domestic battery, DUI and retail theft. Here is information from the reports:
Domestic battery
- A 73-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 100 block of East Van Buren Street was arrested about 9 a.m. Tuesday on two counts of domestic battery. Police said a bleeding man who lives in the same house flagged down an officer. He said the woman attacked him and threw him into a bedroom door frame. The woman reported the man hit her, but she had no visible injuries, police said. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
DUI

- A 44-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 100 block of North Myrtle Avenue was arrested about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of West Second Street on charges of DUI (alcohol and drugs) and improper lane usage. She was released
- A 28-year-old Lombard woman was arrested about 5 a.m. Monday in the 200 block of North Emroy Avenue on charges of DUI and unlawful marijuana possession. She was taken to the police station and then released.
Retail theft
- Eddie Jones,54, of Riverdale, was arrested about 6 p.m. Monday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on charges of retail theft, no valid driver's license and driving an uninsured car. Police said Jones, who had previously committed return fraud, was back in the store. He left and entered a silver Honda Odyssey minivan. A 49-year-old Chicago man with Jones was arrested on a warrant from Glen Carbon, an Illinois suburb of St. Louis. Both were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Dog at large

- A 29-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 600 block of West Babcock Avenue was cited about 2 p.m. Monday on a charge of having a dog at large. Police said the dog entered a neighbor's yard and bit the neighbor's dog, which suffered injuries and was taken to a veterinarian.
