Bomb Threat Closes Library, Village Campus In Addison: Police

The bomb threat was one of several targeting libraries Tuesday across the Chicago area, according to law enforcement.

ADDISON, IL — Addison's library and village campuses were closed Tuesday after a bomb threat, one of several across the Chicago area, according to police.

Officers responded to the threat against the Addison Public Library on Friendship Plaza, police said. The DuPage County Bomb Squad was called for a search and determined the threat was unfounded, according to police.

All three of Aurora's libraries were evacuated Tuesday afternoon after the city's library system was targeted in a similar threat, according to authorities. The Evanston Public Library also received a bomb threat, local police said.
