Bottle Thrown In Elmhurst Bar: Cops
The man left before officers arrived, but was given a no-trespass notice, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a bar disturbance, retail theft, eggings and identity theft. Here is information from the reports:
Bar disturbance
- Police responded to a disturbance about 8 p.m. Tuesday at Spring Inn bar, 552 S. Spring Road. A person became upset and threw a beer bottle before leaving. Officers could not find the person. They mailed the person a no-trespass notice.

- A woman exchanged a vacuum cleaner about 1:30 p.m. Monday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, but she left the store with one more vacuum cleaner in her cart. The woman did not pay for the additional cleaner. The woman was taken to the police station, but released pending charges.
- A man stole alcohol about 4:30 p.m. Monday at Whole Foods, 215 S. Route 83. He was described as white, 30 years old, and wearing a backward baseball cap, a white Bears jacket, black sweatpants and white high-top gym shoes.
- Two men stole various grocery items about 5 p.m. March 15 at Whole Foods, 215 S. Route 83. It was reported five days later. One man was described as white and wearing blue jeans, a black sweatshirt and a blue surgical mask. The other was described as white and wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, glasses and a gray beanie.
Eggings
- A resident in the 400 block of North Maple Avenue told police Monday that someone egged her home. It occurred about 9:30 p.m. Saturday. An investigation is pending.
- A resident in the 800 block of Stratford Avenue told police Tuesday that someone egged her house on two separate occasions. An investigation is pending.

- A resident in the 400 block of North Garden Avenue told police Monday that someone withdrew money from his home equity loan. An investigation is pending.
- A resident in the 400 block of North York Street told police Tuesday that someone used her credit card information to make a fraudulent purchase.
- A resident in the 700 block of Colfax told police Tuesday that someone hacked his cellphone and accessed his Coinbase account to withdraw money. An investigation is pending.
- A resident in the 400 block of Fairfield Avenue told police Monday that someone used his credit card to make fraudulent purchases.
