Burglar Confronted In Elmhurst Neighborhood: Cops

ELMHURST, IL – A woman confronted a man who she believed had burglarized her car in Elmhurst, police said.

About 8 p.m. Tuesday, the woman saw the man standing near her car in the 100 block of South Hawthorne Avenue, police said. She approached him, causing him to run away east on Alexander Boulevard, police said.

Money was stolen from her car, police said.

The man was described as black, clean-shaven, having long hair and yellow teeth, and wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.

An investigation is pending.
