Cars Stolen From Elmhurst Repair Shops: Cops

Some of the vehicles were later recovered, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Cars were stolen from two Elmhurst repair shops over the weekend, with some of the vehicles later recovered, police said.

About 2:30 a.m., five cars were stolen from the mechanic service bay at Honda on Grand, 300 W. Grand Ave., police said. The incident was reported four hours later.

Six suspects were seen on surveillance footage. They left east on Grand. Two cars were later recovered in Chicago, police said.

Thefts were also reported occurring between 5:30 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Caliber Collision, 867 N. Industrial Drive. Three cars were stolen, with one of them later recovered, police said.

In the Honda on Grand incident, police gave no descriptions of the suspects, including their genders, other than what they were wearing.
