Caterer Attacked At Elmhurst Party: Cops
Three men pushed down caterer and struck him with a metal rod, police say.
ELMHURST, IL – A man told officers that he was attacked by three people while catering a party early Friday morning in Elmhurst, according to a police report.
While on patrol about 1 a.m., an officer was flagged down by the caterer and a witness. The caterer said he had gotten into an argument with a guest while catering a party in the 100 block of East Fremont Avenue. Then three men pushed him down and struck him with a metal rod, police said.
According to a police report, an officer saw scrapes on the caterer’s elbow and hand and a scratch on his forehead. Medics took the man to the hospital.

One suspect was described as East Indian, 24 to 30 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9, having long black hair with a white streak, and wearing black pants and a white shirt. Police did not provide detailed descriptions for the other two men.
