Bring the whole family
to the Civil War encampment at Fischer Farm. The sun over the treetops shines
down on the men taking care of their horses, cleaning their weapons, and
cooking their meals. The war that pitted family against family and
brother against brother raged for just over four years. The costliest war
in our nation’s history was arguably one of its defining moments. Walk with us
into the early 1860s and see firsthand what the life of a soldier was
like.
Fischer Farm is located at 16W680 Old Grand Avenue, off of Grand Ave, just west of Church Rd., Bensenville.
