Compost Your Pumpkins In Elmhurst

ELMHURST, IL — If you're looking to get rid of any pumpkins you had as decorations for Halloween, you can bring them to the pumpkin composting event in Elmhurst. The composting event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Public Works Facility, 985 S. Riverside Drive.

According to the city, pumpkin composting diverts pumpkins from landfills, and the composting pumpkins will also return nutrients and water back to the soil.
