Conroy Invites Residents to Join Advisory Committees in April

VILLA PARK, Ill. –State Rep. Deb Conroy (D-Villa Park) has announced the schedule for her advisory committees that will be meeting in April. Advisory committees meeting this month include: the Veteran’s Issues Advisory Commitee (April 17) and the Education Advisory Committee (April 23). Area residents that are interested in joining either committee are encouraged to attend.

“Although I will be in Springfield for the majority of the month I want to ensure that I am being as accessible as possible during my time in district,” said Conroy.  “These advisory committee meetings provide me the opportunity to discuss the issues that area residents have a passion for.”

Both advisory committee meetings will meet at Rep. Conroy’s constituent services office located at 28 S. Villa Ave. The Education Advisory Committee is scheduled from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. and the Veterans’ Issues Advisory Committee is scheduled from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

In addition to these advisory committees, Rep. Conroy will be hosting and participating in various community events including, a town hall meeting, a senior spelling bee, business visits, and a coffee shop stop.

“As we approach the tail-end of the legislative session, it is my priority to get out in the community as much as possible during the two-week recess in April,” Conroy said. “The discussion I have with those in the community that are impacted by state issues everyday help me bring a bigger perspective when I head back to Springfield.”
