Costumed Person In Elmhurst Arouses Suspicion

In another case, a woman with a flat tire became the victim of road rage, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a suspicious person, road rage, a battery at a party, a domestic disturbance and damage to a car. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Suspicious

  • Police received a call about a suspicious person about 11 p.m. Sunday at Elmhurst University, 190 S. Prospect Ave. The person was found to be wearing a Halloween costume.

  • In a road rage incident, a person kicked a woman's car and yelled at her shortly after noon Saturday at Route 83 and St. Charles Road. The woman said she had a flat tire and was parked on the shoulder of the road when the person almost hit her. Because of conflicting statements, no arrests were made.

Battered at party

  • A woman told police she was battered at a party about 1 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Huntington Lane. Others said the woman was upset about being kicked out of the party and refuted the battery allegation. Because of conflicting statements, no arrests were made. The woman was taken to her apartment.

Domestic disturbance

  • A man told police that a woman hit him during an argument shortly after midnight Sunday in the 900 block of South Prospect Avenue. The woman said she never touched him. Police could find no sign of injuries. The man and the woman agreed to separate for the night.

Damage to car

  • A resident in the 300 block of Hill Avenue told police that two people intentionally damaged his car about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. They were seen on the resident's security camera. An investigation is pending.
