Customer Dispute, Domestics: Elmhurst Cops
A customer became irate and yelled at employees at an Elmhurst business, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a customer dispute, domestic battery, disorderly conduct, DUI, drug possession, a stolen bicycle and a gift card scam. Here is information from the reports:
Customer dispute
- A customer dispute occurred about 4:30 p.m. Thursday at My Eye Dr., 138 N. York St. A customer was irate and yelling at employees. Officers found the customer, who was given a no-trespass notice and agreed never to return to the business.

- Percy Robinson, 57, of Bellwood, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 600 block of South York Street on charges of domestic battery and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Police said he battered a woman. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- Jachiya Sanders, 21, of DeKalb, was arrested about 1 a.m. Saturday at North and Glade avenues on a charge of domestic battery. Police said Sanders punched a person. Sanders was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- A domestic disturbance occurred about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road. Two people were involved in an argument. They grabbed each other's arms. No injuries were reported.
Disorderly conduct
- Marquil T. McBride Jr., 18, of Hillside, was arrested about 4 p.m. Friday at Prairie Path Lane and Fairfield Avenue on charges of disorderly conduct, reckless driving, unlawfully possessing marijuana by a driver, disobeying a traffic light and driving an uninsured car. He was released on bond.
DUI

- Frank Mendoza, 26, of Chicago, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at North and Larch avenues on charges of DUI, improper lane use, improper lighting and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was released on bond.
Drug possession
- Devonte C. Sims, 30, of Calumet City, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of East Butterfield Road on charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana by a driver, driving an uninsured vehicle, failure to signal and expired registration. Police said he was found with ecstasy and marijuana. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Stolen bicycle
- An unsecured mountain bicycle was stolen between 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1:30 a.m. Thursday from downtown. An officer found it near First and Addison and returned it to the owner.
Gift card scam
- A resident in the 400 block of Oak Street told police Thursday that someone posed as an internet provider offering a discount through the use of gift cards. The resident bought two gift cards and provided the suspect with security codes from the cards.
