Cyclist Cited In South Elmhurst Crash: Police

ELMHURST, IL – A bicyclist and a driver were taken to area hospitals for minor injuries Friday afternoon after a crash in south Elmhurst, police said.

The man on the bicycle crossed Butterfield Road near Eldridge Park against a red light, police said. Witnesses told officers the driver was headed west on Butterfield with a green light.

Butterfield was closed for a time to complete the crash investigation. The bicyclist was cited on a charge of failing to yield at an intersection, police said.
