Danica Patrick touts Healthy Driven lifestyle in visit to Elmhurst Hospital

Race car driver Danica Patrick was the featured guest at “Healthy Driven” events at Elmhurst Hospital and Edward Hospital on Wednesday, October 28. Patrick is the spokesperson for Edward-Elmhurst Health’s Healthy Driven initiative, which is designed to help people move their health forward. At Elmhurst Hospital, Patrick took part in a panel discussion, Healthy Driven Life: Practical Advice for Busy People, in which Patrick offered tips to community leaders and Edward-Elmhurst Health system employees. The panel also included Joe Perrino, CEO, Home Run Inn Pizza; Pam Davis, System CEO, Edward-Elmhurst Health and Mary Lou Mastro, President/CEO, Elmhurst Hospital. Patrick also visited with patients at the Nancy W. Knowles Cancer Center and took part in a cooking demonstration with Jim Roth, executive chef of Elmhurst Hospital’s Wildflower Cafe. At Edward Hospital, Patrick met and worked out with patients in Edward Heart Hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation unit and visited with handlers and dogs of Edward’s Animal-Assisted Therapy program.
