Darien Coronavirus: 15 Cases And 1 Death So Far

DARIEN, IL — In Darien, 15 cases and one death have been reported as of Wednesday in connection with the coronavirus, according to the DuPage County Health Department's tracker. The circumstances of the death have not been reported.

Darien's number of cases makes up 3.8 percent of the total 393 cases in DuPage County as of Wednesday. Darien makes up 2.4 percent of the county's population.

Neighboring Willowbrook, which is relatively small compared with other towns in the area, had the most cases in the county with 40. Six deaths have been reported in Willowbrook, according to the health department. All of the deaths have been at the Chateau nursing home, which had a coronavirus outbreak.

The second highest number of cases was in Naperville with 31. No deaths have been reported. Naperville, which is mostly in DuPage County, is the biggest town in the county. (Aurora is split between four counties.)
