Disorderly Conduct, Trespassing: Elmhurst Cops

A woman struck a man who was trying to separate her from a fight, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of disorderly conduct, trespassing and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Disorderly Conduct

  • Shaquita Jones, 38, of Roselle, was arrested shortly before noon Sunday at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, on a charge of disorderly conduct. Police said a man was trying to separate two women in a fight, one of whom was Jones. The man grabbed Jones to get her away from others. She then turned around and struck him in the face, police said. She was released on bond and issued a no-trespass notice.

  • Eric Lofgren, 27, of Oak Park, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Lorraine Avenue on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant and charges of trespassing and a violation of a bail bond. Police said they were called about Lofgren's presence. He wasn't supposed to be at the house of the person who called. He was released on bond.

Visitation interference

  • Steven A. Edelman, 28, of Naperville, was cited about 7 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of West St. Charles Road on a charge of unlawful visitation interference. Police said Edelman was in violation of court-ordered visitation when he refused to drop off his son at a woman's house. He was released on bond.

  • Celia West, 32, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of South York Street on a McHenry Sheriff's Office warrant. She was released on bond.
  • Loren J. Austin-Chewing, 28, of Chicago, was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Thursday in the 600 block of South York Street on a Cook County Sheriff's Office warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Bryan Ortiz, 44, of Brookfield, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Friday at Route 83 and North Avenue on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUIs

  • Cory Goldman, 36, of Vernon Hills, was arrested shortly before midnight Friday at First and York streets on charges of DUI, possession of open alcohol, possession of marijuana, driving the wrong way, driving an uninsured vehicle and expired registration. He was released on bond.
  • Jaylin Lomeli, 20, of Berkeley, was arrested about 2:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Road and Sturges Parkway on charges of DUI, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, improper lane usage and speeding. He was released on bond.
  • Josif Ndrio, 61, of Schiller Park, was arrested shortly after midnight Sunday in the 200 block of South 83 on charges of DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage and driving an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on bond.
