Dog Found In Elmhurst To Be Put Up For Adoption

ELMHURST, IL - The owner of a dog found in Berens Park in Elmhurst on Monday still has not stepped forward. According to police, the dog is a young male, who is fixed. Elmhurst Police said the dog has still not been claimed, and they have received questions about the adoption process.

In a post on their Facebook page, Elmhurst Police said the interested family will need to search for the puppy on the DuPage County Animal control website to see when the dog is posted. Police said it is unknown as to when the puppy will be placed up for adoption.

According to the post, the dog must be cleared by a vet, and have it confirmed that he is able to be adopted before he is posted on the website.
