Domestic Battery, Slashed Tires: Elmhurst Police

An Elmhurst woman was charged in a domestic disturbance, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police have arrested people on charges of domestic battery, criminal property damage, aggravated DUI and trespassing. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 37-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 200 block of North Caroline Avenue was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Sunday at her house on a domestic battery charge. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • A 59-year-old Maywood man was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 700 block of North Michigan Avenue on a criminal property damage charge. Police said he slashed a woman's tires. He was released.
  • A 20-year-old Lyons man was arrested about 7 p.m. Sunday at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, on a criminal property damage charge. Police said the man got mad at hospital staff and punched and threw hospital equipment. A computer monitor was damaged. He was released.

Aggravated DUI

  • Emely Lujan, 20, of Melrose Park, was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Sunday at York Street and North Avenue on charges of aggravated DUI, disobeying a traffic control device and consumption of alcohol by a minor. She was taken to the police station and then released.

  • A 45-year-old Northlake man was arrested about 9 p.m. Friday at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, on a DUI charge. Police said he ignored officers' orders and tried to drive his car away. He was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 27-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 100 block of West Butterfield Road was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Sunday at St. Charles Road and York Street on charges of DUI, disobeying a stop sign and violating a driver's instruction permit. He was taken to the police station and then released.
  • A 34-year-old Lombard man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Sunday in the 200 block of North Addison Avenue on charges of DUI, driving an uninsured car, and illegal stopping where prohibited. He was taken to the police station and then released.

Trespassing

  • An 18-year-old Los Angeles man was cited about 4 p.m. Sunday at First Street and Maple Avenue on charges of trespassing to railroad and littering. Police said he refused to leave. He was released.
