Domestic Battery, Stun Gun: Elmhurst Arrests

A man was arrested after a domestic disturbance in a local neighborhood, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges such as domestic battery, drug possession, DUI and endangering the life of a child. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Domestic battery

  • Magee Tashawn, 21, of Wheaton, was arrested about 1 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of North Virginia on a charge of domestic battery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

  • Cortaya Patton, 20, of Bellwood, was arrested about 11 a.m. Friday at York and Orchard on charges of having a weapon in a vehicle or concealed (stun gun), unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of fictitious or altered driver's license or permit, and improper window tint. Patton was released on bond.

Endangering child's life

  • Miriam Rodriguez, 42, of Addison, was arrested about 7 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of North Addison on charges of endangering the life of a child, criminal damage to property, failure to give information after striking property, driving with a suspended license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving an uninsured motor vehicle. According to a police report, she ran away, but was found with her child. She was released on bond.

Drug possession

  • Shannon Hege, 33, of Chicago, was arrested shortly before noon Thursday at South and York on a Department of Corrections warrant and charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, obstructing identification, possession of hypodermic syringes and needles, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

DUI

  • Joanna Pruszynski, 26, of Downers Grove, was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Palmer and Schiller on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license, failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident and possession of alcohol. She was released on bond.
  • Kassandra Olvera, 26, of Glendale Heights, was arrested about 10 p.m. Saturday in the 600 block of West North on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license, illegal transportation of alcohol and speeding. She was released on bond.
  • Vincent Davis, 24, of Riverdale, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at York and Arthur on charges of DUI, driving an uninsured vehicle, disobeying a traffic light (two counts) and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was released on bond.
  • Dominique Ellison, 30, of Bellwood, was arrested about 1 a.m. Monday at York and Crestview on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. She was released on bond.

Driving violations

  • Noe Perez-Lemus, 39, of Lombard, was cited about 5:30 p.m. Thursday at North and Route 83 on a warrant and charges of driving with a revoked license and driving an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on bond.
  • Adam Ayala, 40, of Lockport, was cited about 8:30 p.m. Friday at Route 83 and St. Charles on charges of driving with a suspended license and tinted windows. He was released on bond.
  • Jose Granero-Marquez, 25, of Lombard, was cited about 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of West Lake on charges of no valid driver's license and disobeying a traffic light. He was released on bond.
  • Edward Cardenas, 23, of Franklin Park, was cited shortly after midnight Sunday in the 900 block of North York on charges of driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured vehicle and no front plate. He was released on bond.
