Domestic Disturbances, Theft: Elmhurst Cops
Police responded to two reports of disturbances in local neighborhoods.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving domestic disturbances, theft, scams, fraud, a stolen car and DUIs. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Domestic disturbances
- Police responded to a domestic disturbance about 8 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of North Highland Avenue. One of the occupants of the house said he wanted another person to leave. The other person agreed to go.
- Police were called to a domestic disturbance about 11 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of East Yorkfield Avenue. A woman said another person grabbed her during an argument. No arrests were made because of conflicting statements and no apparent injuries.
Theft

- A man stole five pairs of gym shoes and a backpack about 7 p.m. Sunday at Shoe Carnival, 195 S. Route 83. Then he ran out the back door.
- A SeeSnake camera (a fiber optic cable with a camera on it) and a locator were stolen from the back of a work truck between 1:50 p.m. and 2:10 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of South Kent. The owner of the truck is Elmhurst-based All Suburban Sewer.
- A catalytic converter was stolen from a motor home between March 22 and April 3 at U-Store-It, 877 S. Route 83.
Scams
- A resident in the 200 block of East First Street told police Thursday that she received an email stating her Amazon order had been shipped. The resident called the listed number and was told to buy a $200 Google gift card to help reverse the Amazon charges. The resident hung up and is not out any money. A request to buy a gift card is an indicator of a scam.
- A resident in the 400 block of East Allison told police Friday that in response to her Facebook Marketplace post selling furniture, a person offered to pay through the Zelle app. The person asked the resident if she could send the overage back. The resident determined it was a scam, and the person sent a threatening message to the resident. The resident is not out any money and blocked the stranger.
Fraud

- A resident on Elm Creek Drive told police Thursday that a suspect used her information to open a checking account with Wells Fargo Bank. Wells Fargo flagged and froze the account.
- A resident in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue told police Saturday that someone used her Social Security number to open a ComEd account for her home. She now has unpaid electric bills. An investigation is pending.
Stolen car
- About 1:30 a.m. Friday, police saw a Dodge Durango that was stolen in Aurora headed east on North Avenue. The driver sped away.
Threats
- A person made threatening statements to another person Friday at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road. The suspect was given a no-trespass notice.
Slashed tires
- A vehicle's tires were slashed outside the Superior Ambulance building, 395 W. Lake St., between 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday. Some type of substance was put in the gas tank. The victim said he obtained video of the suspect slashing the tires. An investigation is pending.
Warrant
- Natalie Lefosse, 24, of Chicago, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Thursday on a DuPage County Sheriff's Office warrant. She turned herself in. She was released on bond.
DUIs
- Salvador Temores, 27, of Chicago, was arrested about 2 a.m. Friday at York and Schiller on charges of DUI, driving the wrong way, driving an uninsured vehicle and possession of open alcohol. He was released on bond.
- Fernando Brito De La Cruz, 35, of Bensenville, was arrested about 2 a.m. Saturday at North and Oaklawn on charges of DUI, endangering the life of a child and improper lane usage. He was released on bond.
- Delilah Munoz, 21, of Chicago, was arrested about 4 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles and Fair on charges of DUI, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and no valid driver's license. She was released on bond.
Driving violations
- Jorge Aguilar Gonzalez, 24, of Chicago, was cited about 8:30 p.m. Friday at North and Indiana on charges of driving with a suspended license, speeding and possession of marijuana. He was released on bond.
- Colvin Brown, 30, of Maywood, was cited shortly after noon Saturday in the 100 block of Walnut on charges of driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage. He was released on bond.
- Mychael Riley, 43, of Hazel Crest, was cited about 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Charles and Spring on charges of driving with a revoked license, no valid insurance and tinted windows. He was released on bond.
- Amarion Kavea Davis, 19, of Rockford, was cited about 8 p.m. Saturday at North and Route 83 on charges of driving with a suspended license and tinted windows. He was released on bond.
- Christa Norfleet, 28, of Carol Stream, was cited about 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Larch and North on charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. She was released on bond.
