Driver Crashes In Elmhurst During Police Chase

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst Street was closed for a while Thursday night because of a traffic crash during a police chase, authorities said.

Spring Road was shut down for about an hour starting about 9:30 p.m. between Harrison and Van Buren streets, according to an Elmhurst police social media post.

Police said a driver sped away from Lombard police on Butterfield Road and crashed in Elmhurst.

Lombard police arrested the driver, who was not identified.
